Hello, my name is Richard. This site is dedicated to a fallen flag, the Southern Pacific Railroad. Having grown up, literally, right next to the old historic Siskiyou line, once the main link between the thriving and exciting gold country of California, and the wild and growing Pacific Northwest, it's no surprise I'm a big SP fan. Tunnel 13 is located at the summit of the former Southern Pacific RR's Siskiyou line, high in the Siskiyou Mountains, which at 3.68%, is the steepest grade in all of the Southern Pacific lines. I thought that "tunnel13.com" had a good sound to it so I picked that for my domain name.
