Rogue Valley Model Railroad Club
Also at the Medford Railroad Park...
The Rogue Valley Model Railroad Club, has a large facility leased from the city of Medford Parks dept. right at the railroad park. After riding the trains at "steamers", walk on over and see the large model railroad layout. The club is currently building a new permanent layout with many levels and diverse scenery, so now is a good opportunity to see the many phases and building techniques that go into a layout, large or small. It utilizes both DCC and analog control. Foam as well as cardboard and plaster mountains. Hundreds of scratchbuilt trees and buildings. Hand-thrown and Tortoise thrown switches.
Several club members are on hand to answer questions.
Also look for the annual Model Train Show & Swap Meet, the weekend after Thanksgiving at the Medford Armory.
